With over 3,000 objects on display, the multi-award winning Riverside Museum is home to Glasgow’s rich transportation history. Colleen and her family had a blast learning from their interactive displays and family friendly activities.

The innovative themed displays at the Riverside Museum allows for visitors to get the most out of their visit. Interactive streets and shops, touch screen videos with stories, and a range of access platforms to vintage public transportations will leave your family with a fun, knowledgeable visit.

  • Some themes throughout the Riverside Museum include Made in Scotland, Disasters & Crashes, Fashion, and Crossing the World.
  • In 2015, Riverside Museum won the European Museum of the Year Award!
  • Outside the museum is the UK’s only floating Clyde-built sailing ship, The Tall Ship, which is free to visit.
  • Riverside Museum hours are Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm, and Friday-Sunday 11am-5pm.
