Deluxe lodging options sure to impress even the most discriminating prince and princess

Disney’s Deluxe Resorts and Villas can take your vacation to a whole new level, by adding a touch of luxury and even more Disney magic. You’ll notice the difference right when you walk through the door. From award-winning dining experiences to extraordinary park views to beautiful, sprawling grounds, these resorts have it all!
There are two types of rooms offered in the Deluxe category of Disney lodging. Club level rooms come with some or all of the following: concierge service, health club access, fax service and a private club level lounge with snacks, beverages and occasional meals. Villas are larger accommodations that are perfect for big families. They can have a living room, kitchen, multiple baths and one or two bedrooms. If you want to go all out on your lodging when you plan your Disney adventure, a Deluxe resort might be for you, especially if you plan to spend some time enjoying all that the resort has to offer.

Contemporary Resort

This resort offers ultra-modern décor with two pools, award-winning dining at the California Grill and the popular Chef Mickey’s character meal. It is conveniently located within walking distance of Magic Kingdom. The monorail even loops through the resort for faster access to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and select Disney Deluxe Resort Hotels. The resort also boasts rooms that offer an extraordinary theme park view. These rooms face Magic Kingdom, giving you the ability to watch the nightly fireworks right from your hotel balcony in cozy jammies. The Contemporary Resort has rooms for four, five, six, seven and even up to eight guests.

Polynesian Resort

The Polynesian Resort brings Hawaiian flare to life. From the newly refurbished volcano-themed pool to the lush tropical plants and flowers, this resort will have you dreaming of luaus. But why dream about them when you can actually attend one on the resort’s property? The luaus include flower leis and all-you-can-eat family style dinner with live performances from actors, singers and even fire dancers. Other eateries on the property include the Kona Café, which is one of my favorite smaller places to eat in the resort. They serve a wonderful macadamia nut butter on almost everything. From moonlit walks on the torched-lined waterfront to delicious, exotic foods, Polynesian Resort will make you feel like you're in paradise. Rooms at this location offer space for up to five adults.

Boardwalk Inn

The Boardwalk Inn has turn-of-the century Atlantic boardwalk charm. A boardwalk circles the shimmering lake. In the evenings, snack vendors sell favorites like cotton candy and popcorn. There are even unique boardwalk games to play throughout the resort, or you can rent bicycles to explore the area. The ESPN Club is also located here for sports lovers’ enjoyment. The carnival-themed pool is huge with a waterslide that the kids will no doubt love! The only downfall of the resort is that there is no food court, only a café. Boardwalk Inn is conveniently located within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and rooms accommodate up to six adults.

Crescent Lake Resorts

The Yacht Club and the Beach Club share amenities and will take you on a journey to the East Coast, with their nautical themes and New England style. With many exquisite dining experiences and a sprawling pool with slides, these two locations are sure to please the whole family. You can rent mini-powerboats and a variety of other watercraft from Bayside Marina and explore Crescent Lake. Both of these resorts are in walking distance to Epcot and a boat ride away from Hollywood Studios. The Yacht Club and Beach Club offer rooms for up to five guests.

Wilderness Lodge

This resort has a rustic Great Northwest ambiance, with a crackling fire in the lobby and an indoor bubbling brook. The American craftsmanship, plush leather chairs, rocking chairs and fireplaces will make you feel warm inside. There are nature trails lined by pine trees, to make feel like you’ve left the big city and entered the untamed wilderness. There is a super fun restaurant at the resort called Whispering Canyon Café, with entertaining servers and great family-style barbecue. The rooms can hold up to four or six adults. With the lake right at the back of the property, it’s a quick ferry ride to Magic Kingdom.

Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is a lavish bayside Victorian-themed resort with modern sophistication. It offers white sand beaches and theme park views of fireworks over Cinderella’s castle. You’ll find a variety of pools, a spa with world-class treatments, a chapel, fine dining and interactive character dining. The resort has it all! This resort is on the complimentary monorail line to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, or you can take a ferry ride to the Magic Kingdom. Rooms hold parties of up to eight guests.

Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge

At the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will step into Africa, with views of four lush savannas that are home to more than 200 animals and birds. Some rooms have a view of live zebras, while others have live giraffes right outside the windows. The resort offers award-winning dining and a children’s activity center for ages three to 12. The pool offers a water slide and sloping zero entry, similar to an African watering hole. With the wildlife field guide located in each room, you can learn more about different types of animals on the property such as flamingos, kudu, gazelle and more. The resort holds the largest collections of African art in the United States. Accommodations at the resort can hold parties of up to eight guests.
