Visiting the Bahamas is like visiting a tropical paradise. But while it may be nice to just relax and soak up the sun, you’ll find it hard to sit still at Atlantis Paradise Island. With so many fun activities, you and your family want to come back time and time again.
If you are going to the Bahamas, then you and your kids won’t want to miss out on Atlantis’ Aquaventure water park! This 141 acre water park features over 20 swimming areas including Splashers, a water playground for children, as well as river rides. Our favorite part was the slides, like the Leap of Faith or Serpent Slide. These clear, underwater tube slides submerged beneath the resort’s aquariums allow you to see an abundance of marine life. Imagine jetting past sharks as if you’re swimming right alongside them! There’s certainly something for everyone at this unique water park.

If you want to get even closer to the majestic marine life of Atlantis Paradise Island, be sure to take part in Atlantis’ twilight snorkeling at the Ruins. Undergo this guided tour of the Atlantis ruins while swimming with exotic tropical fish, sharks, and even the resort’s giant manta ray, Coco. If you have safety concerns about snorkeling with marine life, rest assured that this area is completely enclosed. With the lights beneath the water guiding the way, you’ll see plenty more than fish as you swim through the Ruins. It’s the perfect end to your day. All the gear and wetsuits are provided, just be sure to book your interaction in advance, as these limited spots fill up quickly!
You and your family will spend countless hours having fun at Aquaventure and exploring the parks ruins while snorkeling. While these are only a couple of the activities, there are plenty of more things that you and your family can do to make this a perfect family getaway. And thanks to Atlantis’s Blue Project Foundation, a not-for-profit organization created to help fund the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick or injured marine life, you can rest assured that a portion of the proceeds for any interaction or activity you book will go towards helping the marine life.
