Michigan Avenue Shopping Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Il 60611 Our Experience While On Set We always try to be respectful when we are filming so we don’t get in the way of other visitors. Well, on Michigan Avenue, there is always a lot of hustle and bustle so filming was a challenge for our Director of Photography and Audio Engineer who had to walk backwards down the street as we filmed! Luckily we made it down the Mag Mile with no injuries! Luckily we were joined on set by two of the most amazing fashion forward moms, Betsy Breuer and Kristin Cheuvront who are definitely on top of shopping and fashion in Chicago! Check out their blog Little Style File for even more tips! Our Additional Tip It’s tough driving around downtown Chicago, especially on Michigan Avenue. We recommend that tourists and locals take public transportation to Michigan Avenue. Depending on where you’re located, you can either take Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue Line to Monroe and take the 151 bus to Michigan Avenue or CTA Red Line to Chicago and walk to Michigan Avenue. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, as the CTA authorities are very helpful and friendly. Need More Ideas??? We did a lot of research for the show! Though we couldn’t visit every destination, we did want to show you what else we found. Boutiques in Old Town, Uptown and Lincoln Park There are so many wonderful boutique shops all over Chicago. If you like to meander in and out of cute little stores that are owned by locals, you will really enjoy the Old Town, Uptown and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. You will find one of a kind toys, clothing and shoes for kids and some eclectic items for parents as well. Plus there are fun coffee shops and spots where you can grab a cupcake or treat to keep everyone going!
