Home to a warm, desert climate, a bustling metro area and a major university, and plenty of cultural attractions and opportunities for activity, Tucson is an ideal family-friendly destination in the great southwest region of the USA. Looking for a relaxing place to stay in Tucson, Arizona? White Stallion Ranch is just the place!
At White Stallion Ranch, the personal touch and hospitality of a traditional dude ranch is carefully blended with the service and amenities of a fine resort. The ranch has been in the True family for over 50 years. Located 20 minutes from downtown Tucson, the White Stallion ranch gives visitors the opportunity to be transported to the old Southwest and enjoy timeless family fun. The ranch offers a variety of kid-friendly activities including horseback riding and rock climbing – and they even have helicopter tours!
The ranch has 43 guest rooms as well as The Hacienda, a private five-bedroom, three-bathroom home perfectly suited for larger families, family reunions, or small groups.
Every guest room has a private patio with views of the cactus gardens, mountains, or corrals, and many feature gas fireplaces. Spacious floor plans provide guests with sunny, comfortable rooms with plenty of closet space. All guest rooms are supplied with eco-friendly soaps, shampoos and lotions as well as hair dryers, mini-refrigerators and personal safes.
During our stay, we enjoyed the 30-minute scenic trail ride through the Sonoran desert to a fresh breakfast. The horseback rides offered at the ranch give visitors the perfect opportunity to see Saguaro cacti which grow exclusively in the Sonoran desert as well as animals like longhorns, jack rabbits, lizards and snakes.
Family is a part of everything at the White Stallion Ranch. The owners believe that in today’s world, family time is often hard to come by, and far too short. That’s why they offer a number of family friendly activities such as redwood swing set and playground area, lighted tennis courts and a sports court equipped for full-court basketball, paddle tennis, badminton and volleyball. That’s not all – other amenities also include
- a 27 seat movie theater
- pool table
- ping pong
- air hockey
- poker table
- petting zoo
- horseshoe pit
The holiday seasons (spring break, Thanksgiving and Christmas) is the most popular time for kids at the ranch. Most families have been coming for generations, and the kids who grew up with the True brothers are now bringing their own children. At the ranch, your children are completely safe to roam around without you. A day on the ranch offers many opportunities for your family to enjoy shared activities as well as giving your children the time and freedom to socialize and explore the ranch with their new friends.
