OUR EXPERIENCE WHILE ON SET

We all looked forward to our visit to our port of call, Grand Turk, but we had different ideas about what we wanted to do once we got there! So, we took totally different approaches to our visit and everyone had a great time. While the girls and I went kayaking with my niece Heather, Aunt Pat and Uncle Dick took a tour of Grand Turk on their own. Conversation at dinner that night was lively as we shared with each other the adventures of the day!

My Tip For Kids: My kids never went kayaking before and they had a blast! The instructor did a great job explaining to them how to properly kayak. They got the hang of it quickly and enjoyed learning about all of the sea creatures. Since shore excursions are an additional cost, they are the perfect gift to give! My parents love giving my girls experiences for their birthday or Christmas presents so a shore excursion would be right up their alley to give the kids.
My Tip For Parents: What an opportunity to explore other cultures and meet the locals! My recommendation at the port of call is to try a new adventure and take advantage of one of the many excursions. Horseback riding on the beach or snorkeling in the beautiful turquoise waters may be a once in a lifetime opportunity that you can’t pass up! Seize the day!

My Tip For Grandparents: Exploring the port of call on your own will give you a lot of flexibility to visit the places that are of the greatest interest to you. You can go at your own pace and not have to rely on someone else’s itinerary. You can shop till you drop or just hang out at the beach and enjoy the gorgeous view.
