Colleen and her children are headed to Columbia, South Carolina, the state’s capital. Here, they’ll explore the city’s culinary scene, where they devour some good ol’ southern cooking. One can never have enough barbecue and cornbread! The family eats Southern brunch at Cafe Strudel and finger licking barbecue at Doc’s BBQ. The food isn’t the only amazing thing about this place, as they have so many fun family activities. Watch the family try watersports and hike at Lake Murray and Congaree National Park. They also watch the Columbia Fireflies baseball game.

As if there isn’t enough, the girls zipline through Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, then learn and play at EdVenture Children’s Museum and the South Carolina State Museum. EdVenture Children’s Museum is filled with awesome hands-on exhibits and the State Museum has a planetarium, telescope gallery, and 4-D Theatre.
