It didn’t take long for my kids to jump right in and get into the swing of camp. They loved the counselors and my husband and I felt like they were in good hands and having fun. Our younger daughter can be shy, but we gave the counselors a heads up and they were great about getting her involved and having fun.
The girls loved learning the camp songs…such a simple thing that really brings people together. I still catch them singing the songs around the house! They got to try all kinds of new things like paddle boarding and tie dye, but the best part was making new friends. They have already asked us if we can go back again next year.

For the most part, we hung out at the lake in the late afternoons. We all love the water so it was natural for us to gravitate toward the paddle boats and other watercraft. We enjoyed trying sailing and just swimming in the lake together.

I was glad that we brought a few board games with us as well as books and magazines. It’s amazing how much fun you can have with a deck of cards! Before we went to bed each night, we either played a game or read together. It was a nice change from being plugged in to our computers and other electronics.
