Description

Pittsburgh offers so much for families on vacation!  Colleen, her daughters and niece start their adventure with a bird’s eye view of the city from the Duquesne Incline, where they play a fun bingo game identifying attractions all around the city.  They explore a hometown favorite, Sr. John Heinz History Center, and also learn about the historic Omni William Penn Hotel.  One of the culinary delicacies Pittsburgh is known for is pierogis!   So Colleen and the girls get a pierogi-making lesson at Pierogi Plus, which is of course followed by a delicious tasting!

Hands-on learning is always a hit with kids!  Families enjoy the many activities offered at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.  One of the girls’ favorite activities is a meet and greet with flamingoes at The National Aviary.  They also take a class in glass firing at the Pittsburgh Glass Center and make one of-a-kind souvenirs.  All in all, Colleen and the kids have a wonderful vacation experience in Pittsburgh!
