Lovejoys Bar & Grill

OUR EXPERIENCE WHILE ON SET

When we are in the middle of a long day of filming, it is so nice to have a break to sit down to a hearty meal.  Lovejoys totally hit the spot for everyone on the crew and we enjoyed a variety of salads and sandwiches to get us fueled for the rest of the day.  The salads were enormous!  The kid’s menu had the usual fare, but it was nice that the side options were healthy and included fresh fruit and vegetables as choices.

OUR ADDITIONAL TIP

Open since 1994, Lovejoy’s has a rich history in Laramie and is known as a community hangout for residents and college students alike.  The owners of Lovejoys, Karen & Greg Smith, are known for giving back to the community in multiple ways.  The restaurant is named for Elmer Lovejoy who was a longtime Laramie resident, builder, inventor and innovator.  The spirit of Elmer Lovejoy is evident in the community feeling in the restaurant.  When you stop in for a bite, see if you can learn more about Mr. Lovejoy!

P.S. On Sundays, kids meals are only 99 cents and include a meal and drink!

NEED MORE IDEAS???

We did a lot of research for the show! Though we couldn’t visit every destination, we did want to show you what else we found.

Health nuts come enjoy a variety of vegetarian options and other healthy choices at Sweet Melissa. Open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., this cafe and tavern is reasonably priced and family friendly. Don’t let your kids stop you from coming here, there is a kid’s menu. If you or your child has food allergies, there are so many options that can cater to your family’s needs. Vegetarians and food enthusiasts love how versatile the menu is, offering family classics like lasagna, but also offering vegan entrees as well.
