Which resort is best for your family?
There are so many exciting resorts to choose from when you travel to Disney World. In a previous blog, I told you about many of the benefits of staying on property. Once you decide to do this, how do you determine which resort is right for your family? The first thing to do is pick a category. There are four: Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Villas.
Value resorts are popular with families of smaller children, or those on a budget. These rooms hold a family of four with no extra rollaway beds. There are suites available for families of five or six with more bathrooms at some locations.
Moderate resorts have larger rooms. The buildings are set farther apart for more space. These can still be a great value, but they are a little higher on the budget scale. An internal bus system for the larger properties is available to access the amenities. These rooms hold a family of four, but a few will hold five with a fold down trundle bed for smaller children.
Deluxe resorts have rooms that are even a little larger. These are at the top of the budget scale. They are often chosen by couples celebrating anniversaries or honeymoons. These rooms hold a family of four and suites are available for five or six.
Villas are available with many bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate large families.
The nice thing about all these categories is that they offer great amenities, such as food courts, themed pools, transportation to and from the parks, laundry facilities, arcades and on-site restaurants. Some offer views of theme parks for night time fireworks, while others offer views of fields with roaming animals. Each resort has its own unique theme.
I will be sharing information about each resort with you soon. I’ll also reveal some of my favorite places to stay!
